Jesus doesn’t just teach the words to pray, but the posture of the heart when entering into prayer. Prior to teaching the Lord’s prayer in Luke 11, the disciples in Luke 10 had experienced amazing victory as they prayed for people in Jesus’ name and they were healed. Jesus was cutting keys to the kingdom for his friends to take back lost ground by redeeming His people. Afterward Jesus reminds them to rejoice that their names are written in heaven.

In warfare, the two keys to gaining an upper hand is to cut off access (supply) and communication. Even though believers have power and authority, we can often pray for the things we already have or possess. The team puts forth a way and mindset to proceed in victorious prayer.
